Global Tuner Grand Prix Registration Spectator event Event modeled after Tuner GP in Europe and Super Lap Battle in Japan 1 of 4 Premier weekends at MRLS with no sound restrictions. (Open Exhaust) The GTGP is the Main Event of the weekend with an ALMS style open grid for teams and spectators to fully embrace this experience. This first of its kind event in North America, will showcase the best tuners in the world competing for the fastest lap time around this legendary circuit. Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca is the only track in North America where lap times for production cars are recognized by major manufacturer's world-wide. In addition, the media for this event will be tremendous as this inaugural event will set the bar for performance vehicles for years to come, very similar to what the Nurburgring represents in Europe. 3 classes of cars, open to all Import, European and Domestic cars. - Street - Tuner - Unlimited 3 categories per class: FWD, RWD and AWD Time Trial and Auto X experienced drivers welcome Vendor displays and Manufactures displays in the main paddock as well as the Yamaha market place are available for sponsors and entrants. Car Club Corrals- Porsche, Audi, BMW, Corvette, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Mitsubishi, Subaru, Nissan, Acura and more. VIP Car show on Saturday, located in the Yamaha market place. 4 supporting events including: GTGP - Challenge Race: Open to GT and Touring Cars as well as Time Attack andSuper Lap battle cars that meet safety requirements with drivers that meet the licensing requirements. |
