MONTEREY, Calif. – When it comes to racing, Matt Bell has regularly made quick work with his first impressions, and that was true once again as he made his Global Tuner Grand Prix debut at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca last weekend with a run to second place in the No. 23 BMW 135i for BRracing.

While he has thousands of laps around the famed 2.23-mile circuit on the Monterey Peninsula and calls the track home, the run in the Global Tuner Grand Prix weekend marked Bell’s first outing in the event. Unlike the long-distance, multi-class endurance format that has seen Bell excel in GRAND-AM competition, the Global Tuner Grand Prix put the pressure all on the driver in just one lap, as the clock is the competition.

The format was all new, but at least for Bell he had a familiar ally as he returned to racing on the BMW platform, having nearly taken the GRAND-AM Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge Championship for Turner Motorsport in 2009 with a record-setting streak of poles.

Driving the high-horsepower, short wheelbase 135i was the challenge that BR Racing tasked Bell with, and he responded quickly as he netted the second-fastest time to score yet another podium finish at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.

“I was hoping we’d be able to pull out a win this weekend, but for it being my first time driving this car and racing in the Global Tuner Grand Prix, I’m pretty happy with how the weekend went,” said Bell, who had originally been hired for his wet-weather skills as inclement weather was anticipated on the weekend. “This was a really cool event, with some very interesting cars competing. I think with some small rules changes and more pro drivers, it could grow into something amazing in the coming years. Any time you are at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, it’s a good thing and I have to thank BR Racing for making this opportunity possible for me. I really enjoyed driving the 135i; hopefully I can get another chance to drive it because it’s a blast.”

As the weekend closed and final echos of the motors bounced off the hills that surround the track, Bell shook off the champagne spray and started to look ahead once again.

“I wasn’t sure when the next time I was going to be in a race car again after Miller, so this weekend was a nice bonus for me, to get the invitation to come up and drive this car,” said Bell. “Hopefully we’ll have some news soon about what’s next, and I’m very much looking forward to 2011 already and getting some testing in before Daytona. And racing here at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca only gets me more excited about coming back and doing it again now that GRAND-AM has announced that the track is back on the schedule next season. I can’t wait!”

This year marked the launch of the Global tuner Grand Prix race at the world renown Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca (near the town of Monterey, in California). The race was open to 3 classes of cars; Import, European and Domestic vehicles, which includes Street, Tuner and Unlimited. The Laguna Seca track is unique in that it is the only rack in North America where lap times for production cars are recognized by major manufacturers worldwide and used to measure a car’s performance. The event spanned over three days and included top manufactures, tuners, drivers and teams from around the world.

Driver Jan Sussman drove the #25 car, a Porsche 997S, which included a logo that should be familiar to fans of the site (see below). Sponsored by Renntrack / Shilo, Sussman ran 1:38 in the practice run, which could have made for a win.

The Leguna Seca course is a 2.238 mile paved race track, with eleven turns, making it one of the most demanding circuits in the world. The track was built in 1957 and has hosted the Formula 5000, American Le Mans Series, WSBK Superbike World Championship and Moto GP races.

Take a look at the video from inside of Jan Sussman’s Porsche 997S at the Global Tuner Grand Prix.

Regarding the results, driver Sussman said, “We had a great run at the inaugural GTGP event. We were obviously looking for the podium, but finished with an overall 6th place.”

Sussman added, “Organizers from GMG racing along with SCRAMP officials did a great job putting this event together! Were already looking forward to next year, and getting that podium finish! Special thanks to CraveOnline for support, team renntrack and all the fans who attended.”

MONTEREY, Calif. – Over the October 22-24th weekend, I was at the inaugural Global Tuner Grand Prix (GTGP) held at Mazda Raceway, Laguna Seca in California.

The K-PAX Racing team decided just a couple of weeks before the weekend to support and compete in the GTGP. Our regular World Challenge season finished some weeks earlier Oct. 3rd at Salt Lake, Utah at Miller Motorsports Park. The team figured this event would be a lot of fun, and who doesn’t want to be in beautiful California in the fall?

Well, let me tell you about California on this particular weekend in the fall. Mother Nature needed a good dose of Comtrex or Claritin-D. The weather would put additional pressure on teams to succeed. You’ll hear more about this as I go on.

We had a nice morning on Friday but rain in the afternoon almost shut things down as nobody wanted to waste time trying to set up for a wet track. Hey, we’re in California, it’s bound to be nice tomorrow right?

The K-PAX team had brought three of our Volvo S60 racecars to the event and I was going to drive all three of them over the course of the weekend. The schedule called for two 50 minute GT Challenge races, one on Saturday and one on Sunday. I would use my last year’s K-PAX racecar for the GT Challenge events.

As I wrote here in my last column, I switched to my last year’s racecar for the final two World Challenge races of the 2010 season. The K-PAX team switched me into the old car because they determined my new racecar for 2010 had some kind of problem that they could not fix, even after 10 races of trying. I used my teammate Randy Pobst’s car for the Time Trials that was the big event of the GTGP weekend. The Time Trial competition was scheduled for Sunday afternoon. My 2010 racecar was relegated to media-car status and was now set up with two seats. We use it to give media and VIP rides around the racetracks we go to.

My K-PAX teammate Randy Pobst was not at the event because he had another racing commitment in Illinois. The GTGP was such a late addition that Randy could not back out of his other deal, more fun for me! So, we had two races that were very similar to World Challenge race formats and then we had the main GTGP event that was a Time Trial format.

The Time Trial had three main classes: Unlimited, Tuner and Street. Within these classes we had classes for four-wheel drive, front-wheel drive and rear-wheel drive. Our Volvo was in the unlimited, four-wheel drive class.

The idea of Time Trials is not new. There are many groups, organizations and clubs within the US who specialize in this form of motor sports competition. There are some very big events around the world that also run Time Trial format and have become really big annual professional competitions. The Tuner GP at Hockenheim in Germany and the Super Lap Battle event at Suzuka in Japan are two that come to mind. The GTGP at Laguna Seca was the first pro/amateur event for the USA. The organizers are hoping that this inaugural event is the first of many.

The idea of the GTGP Time Trial event is to appeal to all automotive competition junkies. From professional tuners and racers, to people who just want to run their street cars around the race track flat out. The format for the Time Trials would be practice Friday and Saturday and then qualifying on Sunday morning for the afternoon finale.

For the Time Trial finale, each car had a five-lap window to get the best time possible one lap time around Laguna Seca. The five-lap window involved a warm up lap and three flying laps to get your very best time, then a cool down before re-entering the pits.

Running only three timed laps puts tremendous pressure on the driver to get it all correct and perfect in what would effectively be a five-minute qualifying session for a road racer like me. There is no chance for mistake, no chance to park for 10 minutes to cool the tires and try again if you mess up. It’s all out, on the edge, with total focus, and really good stuff!

Saturday activities started with some more practice sessions and then on to the lunchtime media rides. The media rides are always a blast and we gave quite a few on Saturday – prior to the rain thank goodness. Laguna is a fabulous place to do media rides as the track has major topography changes, a lot of blind entries to turns and of course the magical cork screw section, where you feel like you drop off a cliff. Yes, it really is fun: if you like dropping off cliffs that is, which I do, doesn’t everybody?

As my crew guys loaded in the poor unsuspecting VIPs or media I waited until they were strapped in and effectively trapped before saying hi. I then proceeded to mention, “I’m not sure if I can take turn 6 flat out, but we’re going to give it a go right now”, just to make them feel more comfortable. If you can’t have fun in life, what’s the point – seriously folks!

After media rides I changed cars again and got ready for the Saturday GT race. As we did the parade laps it was a little damp, but not so bad that you couldn’t use slicks. James Sofronas in his World Challenge GMG Porsche 911 GT3 was starting from pole and I had qualified second.

Most of the field for the GT races were Porsches. Hats off to GMG for bringing customers and friends and a bunch of great looking Porsche 911 RSR’s. I know from talking to the organizers that next year there will be a lot more Viper’s, Ferraris and other exotic racecars to add into the mix, which will be awesome.

Meanwhile, back to the race, things were turning ugly. After about six laps or so, the rain was falling a lot harder and after my second heart attack due to full steering lock slides down the track, it was time for the wet tires. This was supposed to be a low pressure, fun race weekend right?

After the normal chaos and confusion of cars coming into the pits for wet tires on different laps we were in 3rd place. It turned out that sly World Challenge competitor Rob Morgan in the TruSpeed Porsche 911 GT3, had come in on the very first lap and changed to rain tires. He had caught us all sleeping. Great job to Rob and the TruSpeed team for the win. James Sofronas and I rounded out the top 3.

Sunday arrived with another dose of heavy clouds and the ground still wet from the night before, but we did have a dry track for qualifying which was great. Sofronas got me again for pole in his GMG Porsche and I started second. As race time came around we got another major dose of rain, drenching the track and spectators once again, lovely! My team and I debated about whether to start on rain tires or slicks, right up until we left the grid. We decided to use the slicks as it looked like the rain was going to hold off for an hour, we hoped.

Trying to get heat into cold slicks in the wet is not a lot of fun. On the start several Porsches quickly passed me on rain tires. I just told myself to run my own deal and wait for the track to dry up a little, which it started to do after about five or six laps. Things became much more fun after 10 laps as I started to catch the cars that had started on rain tires as they struggled on the drying track. Rain tires are just too soft for a damp track and really need a lot of water to stay cool. As they heat up they start to lose grip, a lot!

Sofronas took first and I came home second. Not too bad. I had some real fun during the race with John Trefethan in his Porsche 996 GT3 Cup car and Mark Anderson in his Porsche 928GTR. I think at one point all three of us came into the very tight turn 11 hairpin and had a side-by-side drag race up the front straight. The race was a really good test for us with the new Pirelli P Zero slick that the World Challenge series will use next season. A number of the Porsches were on Michelins for the weekend, as teams were able to choose which tire to run on.

Now we come to the big event of the weekend, the GTGP Time Trial. Almost two hours was allocated to run all the classes. As had happened all weekend, weather became an issue. As we waited to run, a drizzle started. Maybe I should give the Governator a call about his California weather program. Oh wait, elections are here, and well whoever wins can work on it for next year maybe. I had qualified fastest in the Unlimited class and had the dubious honor of going first, as the light drizzle kept falling.

I approached turn 2 with serious intent, determined to warm the tires up as fast as I could. As I turned into turn 2, I almost slid off the track as it was damper than I realized. Crashing in the first turn would have been very embarrassing! I got it all gathered up and cranked off into qualifying land. The track was not wet, but a little damp in a couple of turns and a light misty drizzle was falling. I had decided to run as if the track was dry and managed to get within one second of my qualifying time with only a couple of lurid slides. It was all over very quickly and then I had to wait to see if my time would hold up, it’s a very exciting competition format.

As it turned out, my time did hold up and we won the Unlimited 4 wheel drive class of the inaugural GTGP in our K-PAX Racing Volvo S60. My time ended up being the fastest time for the event in all classes – we were obviously very pleased about that. I just nudged Christian Miller into 2nd place in his frighteningly fast 034 Motorsport Audi A4 and Patrick Ward, in his GT Garage Subaru STI, who was third.

The starter tried to space cars out far enough so that we were not supposed to catch another car during our runs. Unfortunately, I did manage to catch a couple of cars that were being a little more careful in the slippery conditions than this nutty Volvo guy. One white knuckle incident of note was one with the HorsePowerFreaks BMW M3 of Eddy Nakato. I was catching Eddy coming into the last corner and knew I had to get him on the front straight because I was starting my hot lap runs and didn’t want either of us to be held up.

I held back into turn 11 as I knew I had more speed through that corner due to my race tires and I had a great run up to the back of Eddy’s car. As he came out the last turn and hit the power on his BMW, the tires lit up and effectively stopped accelerating. I had a massive run on him and had to yank the wheel really hard left to stop from hitting the back of his car. I swear that HorsePowerFreaks BMW has to have 1,000 horsepower. I’m glad I didn’t hit you Eddy and the car still looks awesome.

K-PAX Racing is obviously a professional race team and we were one of several pro road race teams to compete. IMSA hot shoe Johnny Cocker and long time endurance pro Cort Wagner were also there. There were many great teams from other areas of racing and automotive high performance. Professional Tuner’s who specialize in high horsepower, modifications and accessories. Amateur tuners and amateur track day/time trial enthusiasts who specialize in fastest one-lap events all over the country also showed up. I met a bunch of new people, from racers to fans, all having fun, playing in the rain and in the occasional dry bits.

I do want to highlight that the on-track respect and discipline of the drivers at this event was some of the best I have ever experienced. The K-PAX Volvo was much faster than most of the cars there, so mirror use by the slower guys was so important during practice, qualifying sessions and the GT races. I have never seen better use of mirrors by so many drivers; it was pleasure to drive in this event.

Now I did hear something quite interesting from one driver after thanking him for his courtesy and mirror use on the track. He asked me if I had ever been in a car with the Volvo coming up behind me, at a 50-mph closing speed? I answered no I hadn’t.

He continued, “well, I (experienced) it for the first time yesterday and I thought you were coming through my back window and then suddenly you were in front of me, scared the living garbage out of me, that car is amazing. (After that), I told my crew to tell me if (you were) within 30 seconds of me, so I could prepare myself. I’m not sure which is more fun – driving the track or being passed by that Volvo. I think it sucked the paint off my car, trust me, I’m using my mirrors.” Classic stuff – we were both laughing.

The other thing I was really happy to see was a great turn out of fans. I have been to many races this year with less fans and it sure looks to me like the GTGP event attracted a great fan base. I was really amazed to see that many fans with the weather conditions we had. There were people in stands and tons of people at the corkscrew even during monsoon-like conditions. It was great to see.

I think the GTGP will only get bigger and better with more action and more cars for the fans to see next year. What a great event, many thanks to Ashley Van Dyke and Fabryce Kutyba for organizing the whole thing. Also thanks to Van Dyke and Kutyba for helping K-PAX Racing get there and for looking after our team at the track. I hope we do it again next year.

The race season may be pretty much over, but James Sofronas keeps finding races to win anyway. The Global Tuner Grand Prix was held last weekend at the Laguna Seca raceway in California. StopTech was in evidence all over the track and also in the winner’s circle.

James Sofronas took first place in Challenge Race. His GMG Racing Porsche WC-997 GT3 Cup sported a time of 1:26:549 on StopTech brakes. His victory came after pulling the identical time during the qualifying session. Talk about precision under pressure!

Speaking of the other sessions, Grant Racing’s Dodge Viper ACR carried StopTech brakes all the way to first place in the Tuner Class Time Trials with a time of 1:37.604. Also driving strong was Robb Todd, who took second place in the Street Class Time Trials for BR Racing driving a StopTech-equipped Porsche 997 GT3 with a time of 1:44.201.

Overall, the entire weekend was a proving ground for drivers and their brakes. Track conditions were constantly changing from dry to cold to wet) yet StopTech equipped race cars continued to perform exceptionally throughout the weekend.

That what a truly balanced brake system can do.

Something to think about as winter approaches.

Mass marketed in the infamous Gran Turismo video game series and centered around its iconic Corkscrew corner, Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca is a world-class racing facility with the paddock setup, course size, and surroundings to back up its reputation.

Sparco Lancer Evo X

But the racetrack remains out of reach for many drivers. Nestled nearby quiet Monterey, the track is surrounded by wineries, high-end homes, and buildings that look like they stepped out of a craft store catalog. Needless to say, it’s an expensive area. The cost of entry, even for a track day, is higher than your “normal” track but the biggest deal breaker is the noise requirement.

Expensive homes need expensive quiet and Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca only has a couple weekends a year that aren’t subject to a restrictive 92dB limit. Blame the neighbors for that one. The takers for 2010 on the noise-less weekends include ALMS, Moto GP, Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion, and the Global Tuner Grand Prix (GTGP).

Consisting of time trials, an open GTGP Challenge race, Pirelli Drivers Cup USA Porsche race, and historic stock cars, the GTGP weekend was a mix of both time attack and wheel-to-wheel road racing.

K-Pax 3R Racing Volvo S60R

The GTGP is unique among the other events because of its more open nature. Instead of having to own an ALMS team or carefully restored vintage racecar, you can enter the GTGP with almost anything and run Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca with no sound restrictions. Having been put into impound ourselves for driving a too-loud straight-piped Honda, we know how attractive that sounds.

The skies grayed and rain fell intermittently during the GTGP weekend but many racing teams and time attack competitors showed up to see what they could do around Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.

The fastest of the time trial competitors would be World Challenge racing driver Andy Pilgrim in the K-Pax / 3R Volvo S60R with a 1:28.051 on Saturday. The next closest cars would be the GMG/StopTech Porsche 911 GT3 (James Sofronas) with a 1:30.760 and the fire-breathing 034Motorsport Audi A4 (Christian Miller) with a 1:31.221.

With the rain and weather affecting track surface conditions from session to session, it was difficult for entrants to go for all-out records. Still, during the GTGP Challenge race, the top four finishers on Saturday all managed to go under Pilgrim’s fastest time attack time. Pilgrim himself finished 2nd with a 1:27.539 and Sofronas took the race win with a 1:26.549 in the GMG/StopTech/BBS World Challenge 997 Porsche GT3.

With a large paddock area and typical Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca organization, the GTGP weekend went off without a hitch. Crowds of spectators were able to interact directly with teams and drivers got lots of track time throughout the weekend. But, featuring a Porsche-only Pirelli Drivers Cup USA race and many tuned 911s, the GTGP was very Porsche-heavy.

Aside from the Sparco Lancer Evo X, Garage GT Subaru Impreza WRX STI, BR Racing BMW 135i, Novitec Rosso Ferrari F430 Scuderia, HorsePowerFreaks turbo BMW M3, 034Motorsport Audi A4, and a lone 350Z and VW Jetta, it was a Porsche show.

We’re all big Porsche fans at OR and love to see GT3 Cup cars race but variety is always a good thing. For an inaugural event, the 2010 Global Tuner Grand Prix went smoothly but there’s never any harm in throwing together a few ALMS, Grand-Am, rally, and heavy-hitter tuner cars on an unrestricted Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. We’re just saying.

Lorne Leibel has gone through one adrenalin rush after another in his 59 years of life, the latest being learning how to drive Porsches as fast as he can within his capabilities.

That’s where Greg Franz enters the picture. Franz, with the help of Porsche North America, founded the Pirelli Drivers Cup with the idea of helping drivers develop their skills behind the wheel of Porsches with proper coaching and, in the four years since he founded the series, 10 drivers have gone on to the American Le Mans Series and Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series he said Saturday.

The Pirelli Drivers Cup USA was the only race held Saturday in the rainy conditions, getting in its 45-minute event in a mixture of wet and dry conditions in the Global Tuner Grand Prix, the 2010 season finale for Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.

Today, there will be a second Pirelli Drivers Cup race at 4:05 p.m. on the world-renowned 2.238-mile, 11-turn permanent road course. Saturday’s GTGP Challenge Race was changed to a qualifying race and will take the track for a 50-minute group of four races (GT1 through GT4) within one event at 12:45 p.m.

Also competing today will be the Time Trials for GTGP Street, Tuner and Unlimited cars, with all three classes on course at the sane time in a 90-minute Time Attack format at 2:10 p.m. and finishing up with the 30-minute Historic Stock Car event at 5 p.m., weather permitting because the pristine machines which ran on the Winston (now Sprint) Cup circuit between 1985

and 2005 will be on slicks, which is not a good mix with wet weather conditions.

There will be qualifying sessions from 9 a.m. through 11:20 a.m. in the various classes competing in the inaugural GTGP competition on American soil.

There were three classes of cars competing in the Pirelli Drivers Cup, basically 996 and 997 Cup cars running in three classes — A, B and C — and three exhibition cars, to of which are World Challenge cars.

H. Galen Bieker out of Class B (2006-2009 GT3 Cup) was the overall winner in a 2008 machine. Doug Baron was the standard bearer in Class A (2000-2005 996s) in a 2004 car, finishing sixth overall, and Brent Holden topped class C (2010 997 GT3 Cup) and was second overall in a 2010 Porsche.

Leibel qualified 27th overall in his Class A 996 and 10th in class but improved to 17th overall and seventh behind Baron and the improvement is what it’s all about. In his first year last year, Leibel was able to get to six seconds behind Baron. This year, he got within four seconds. “So, I improved 50 percent,” he said.

“Am I ever going to be better than hin — no,” said the native of Toronto, Canada. “But I can take some more schools and continue to improve.”

Franz said that’s the idea behind his Competent Motorsport group.

“We are trying to coach them and help them learn to race. We are coaching them in a transitional series. It’s a spec series so (the playing field) is level in all three classes. When you’re all racing thee same cars, you can’t help but get better. When we started it, we said, let’s have a series based on coaching (Craig Stanton is the director of coaching).

“How does a racer look at a race track? We walk them through and say how a pro drives this track. (Stanton) has the drivers set objectives for themselves and we debrief them (after practice or the race). We want the to have quality seat time.

“What we don’t want to lose (despite the competitiveness) is the sociability part of this.”

Leibel took an interesting route to wind up in a race car. As a kid, he loved the opening ceremonies at the Olympics. “I was riveted,” he said.

He decided that one day he wanted to participate. He said he couldn’t run and he couldn’t swim, so he took up sailing. At age 16, he made the Canadian Olympic team and at age 24, he placed fourth with his cousin. “That really left me with a new desire I took into my business (construction),” Leibel said. “You can’t enjoy success unless you experience lows.”

After his Olympic experiences, Leibel returned to the water in 1986 in power boat racing. “It’s a dangerous, exhilarating sport.”

In 1991, he won the U.S. National title. In 2001, he teamed with Bob Morgan and in 2002, they won the world championship. He said that was enough.

The next year, he got a call from the Bacardi Team. “They wanted a driver with experience,” he said. “We won the world championship. Then I quit.”

All right, time for some more adrenalin rush.

He said a guy took him to a race track and drove him around, then gave him a chance to drive. He was hooked. He loved it and the skill involved.

“I started going to schools, like the Skip Barber Racing School (which has its West Coast base at Mazda Raceway),” Leibel said. “In the water, I was never scared. On the track, I started getting scared.”

He got a Ferrari when the FXX was introduced, he said. “It was an Enzo on steroids.” He said he had a great time and they had access to the factory. They would go to race tracks and put on exhibitions. “It triggered me to want to race and I got this Cup car.”

He’s been having a ball ever since, improving a great deal. He also participates in the vintage racing with his Daytona Competition Coupe, a Cobra 289 and a Porsche 962. “Of all the things I do, the Rolex (Monterey Automobile Reunion in August at Mazda Raceway) is the Beverly Hills of vintage racing.”

Monterey, CA (23 October 2010) – It might seem that after another impressive racing season that included a strong debut performance in the Rolex Sports Car Series season-opening Rolex 24 At Daytona, breakthrough poles and runs in front of the GRAND-AM Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge field with the Sunoco Fuels Camaro, and award-winning performances in this two first Daytona Prototype starts, Matt Bell might be settling in for the off-season and looking forward to next year. But the young Californian isn’t done just yet.

This weekend, Bell will not only get the chance to experience a completely different kind of racing format, but he’ll also get the chance to race at his home track Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, as he’s been invited to race in the Global Tuner Grand Prix.

Bell is slated in compete in two of the three different categories set to run during the weekend, with the Tuner Grand Prix rules featuring a competition structure that has more of a feel of a qualifying run rather than a wheel to wheel race as he’s run the last three seasons. But even if he’s going one on one against the clock rather than a full field of competition, the change of format is something that Bell is looking forward to.

“I’m excited about this opportunity–Its going to be a completely different kind of racing for me, but I think it is going to be fun,” said Bell, who has shown pace in qualifying with scores of poles and track records in GRAND-AM competition. “They first contacted me because they had seen me run in the rain and with the forecast for the weekend, the team figured that I could help them even if the weather wasn’t ideal. But no matter what happens with the rain, it is going to be fun to get into some new cars, and to be in the Global Tuner paddock. There is a tremendous amount of passion there, and some incredible cars as well so it should be fun.”

The weekend also gives Bell a shot at some small redemption on the famed Monterey track after his most recent GRAND-AM appearance saw him bolt to the lead, only to be let down by a motor failure, keeping him from a much-anticipated home win.

“We had a lot of friends and family and sponsors for that race, so it really stung when we lost the motor,” said Bell. “So hopefully we can have a little bit better result this weekend! I’m hoping to learn a lot, have some fun, and be as competitive as I possibly can be my first time out.”

Bell will take to the track with BRRacing with a high-horspower version of the BMW 135i.
